    PIE helps the added DoT from Aero (which seems to be pretty nice from my experience) and the Magic Evasion down from Stone land. It also makes you resist spells/enfeebles slightly more often, of course HP/MP/VIT would probably be perfectly fine too, but I personally think PIE is very useful since I like to keep at the very least the DoT on enemies at all times. I do also think the Boarskin Ringband of X is up to your discretion since the +3 elemental potency is quite small, and, like you said, Water doesn't help Cures.

    I've actually been curious about Repose, I read somewhere that it was a Water spell. I should test it out with a wand of tides and see if it does anything.

    Honestly, there is very little you can do wrong when gearing up your CNJ/THM as most gear you can use at high levels will have beneficial stats or in some cases you only have 1-2 options in a slot. Materia is mostly up to how you want to play, CNJ can easily go either nuking or healing or balanced, switching off head/mainhand/accessories for whatever the situation calls for. We're getting WHM armor eventually and I figured that would be covering healing stats, so I've been worrying more about my nuking pieces.

    Two questions:

    1) why Boarskin Ringband of "Tides" instead of "Gales" or "Tremors" since Cnj has Aero and Earth magics? does Water influence Cure?

    2) Wouldn't "Wool Cowl" be better (even without head equipped) then "Felt Robe of the Mind" + "Felt Hat of the Mind"?
    You'll have -2mnd, -4M.Eva, -54mp and -6M.Acc, but have the +4Pty and +10Healing M. Potency, instead.

    1) Water doesn't influence any current CNJ spells. You should go with the Ringband of Gales or Tremors, yes.

    2) Wool Cowl isn't a bad Choice but having the felt robe of the mind + felt hat of the mind, along with 1 Mind materia in the head slot, will most likely match the healing potency given to you by the Robe, and having those two with a healing potency materia on the head slot will definitely beat it. Along with that, you get the M eva, MP, and M Acc back that the Wool Cowl alone doesn't give. The Piety on the cowl isn't bad but you could just put PIE materia on your robe.

    Felt Bliauds are also a good choice for the body slot as they give INT, MND, and Magic Accuracy so they're more well-rounded where the Felt Robes make you choose between helping your healing or helping your nuking.

    Also, FYI, mid-battle swapping doesn't help since as far as I know, your gear changes don't take effect until you are no longer in combat.

    Now that I think about it... it's actually true... disregard my last post. o_O;;

    I'm curious if gear swaps really become active stat-wise only after you're out of combat though.
