In light of the significantly increased latency for east coast NA and EU players on the new NA servers, I suggest that SE create an east coast datacenter. This would give players in the affected regions a chance to play with their previous latency, and have the added bonus of potentially drawing players away from overpopulated servers such as Gilgamesh and Balmung. NTT, which SE seems to have business relations with now, even has datacenters located in Ashburn, VA, which is a nice central location along the eastern seaboard:

Naturally this would likely be an expensive endeavor. However, most other MMOs are already either running servers from multiple locations to combat latency (such as WoW), or areas close to the center of the continent (e.g. Guild Wars 2 and their Texas DC). Creating another such world would likely be the best bone to throw to those most affected so they can have the same experience they had previously, without having to have yet another costly server migration.
