[Aether Datacentre Only] What Servers Should I Consider Moving To If Designated In SB

Currently playing on Balmung with my boyfriend and a few friends. We're considering the free transfer to a designated server with SB.

Have a few other friends here so only considering Aether servers so that we can still play with each other using the cross server PF.

Hate Balmung's housing market which is our main reason for wanting to move. But we know very little about the other servers! And maybe this thread can help other players make up their mind too on this same thing.

I made a list with what little info I know about the servers:

World {Legacy or not} (Rank out of 64 on population) [Formerly classed as a "rich, middle or poor class" economy]

So please, give any information you can on any of these servers! Their pros and cons, what they're known for, any drama to be wary of. We're looking for somewhere that isn't too lowly populated, has a nice economy and where housing isn't too hard to obtain, ideally.

If your main concern is having a house.. then the least populated servers are your only choice at the moment. You can check on the so called "middle" servers and see what is available, though I doubt you'll find anything open to buy as readily available. As for economy, gil is as useful as a wet toilet paper, but everyone has their own opinion on that.

I'm saving to buy a large in Shirogane, my main concerns is how the housing rush is when houses go up on the servers and then how easy they are to buy off of someone if I miss out on the race lol. Thank you for your reply though! ^^

Chances are, only the lowest pop realms would be designated in the first place, so you can probably check things like Sargatanas off the list.

Zalera, Goblin and Mateus are the prime candidates.

Yeah I figured that, I'm thinking I'd like to go anywhere from as high up the list as Faerie (hopefully low enough to be designated) and as far down the list as Siren. A friend told me not to go to any of the servers in that space besides Midgardsormr but he didn't really tell me why lol.

Most likely won't release a server list till SB and I imagine it will only be the new EU ones.

I'm getting an inkling feeling they are trying to pull EU players away from their NA friends.

If you want housing space, then I'd definitely suggest you consider my server, the housing ward my FC house is in only has 8 houses built, 22 vacant plots (granted it's in the Goblet, a subdivision, and in one of the most recent wards, but still...)

Most wards have a least a couple of empty plots, mostly for small and medium houses.

This is what I am referring to about designated worlds. And no, they won't be only EU ones. They will be any worlds with a low population as far as SE is concerned. Mateus, Goblin, Zalera and Siren are guaranteed to be on this list, I am sure of that. When you get up as far as Adamantoise in that list, it's debatable, we don't know where SE draws the line for what is low population.

There's housing on my realm. On district 9 Goblet there's several small lots open.
