I know it's really stupid... but I enjoy reading these when they are in games...
It's be nice to unlock a bestiary that holds information on every enemy we kill with a small lore note or description about it.
I imagine it to be something like this;
UI is a book or box
-Has several lines for sorting
-Sort by:
*Region
*Enemy type
*Class/Job quests
*Regional quests
*Dungeons and Raids
*FATEs
*Notorious Monsters/hunts
*Bosses
*Would break down into 3 categories. Mini bosses, bosses and raid bosses (Trials and Raid Bosses)
Once sorted, display would be similar to how it was done in FFX-2 with a small picture of the enemy+name, with 9 entries per page. Of course in an aesthetic style akin to FFXIV.
An entry page in my mind would look like this
Top left corner- Image of enemy
Left center under image or above image - enemy name
Top right corner and right center - Statistics
- Stats would include:
-The 6 main stats
-Attack
-Defence
-Health
-Mana/Stamina
- Attacks?
Bottom of page: Lore description or note about enemy
I can see two types of achievements
Entries (generic entries in log)
10 entries
50 entries
100 entries - necklace
500 entries - title
1000 entries - ring
2500 entries - earnings
Whatever current cap is* - title + minion/mount
Zone completion (completing all entries in a zone including dungeons, FATEs, Notorious monsters/hunts, dungeons, raids or otherwise relevant to that zone)
1 zone - title
3 zones
5 zones - hat
10 zones
15 zones - body/chest
Whatever the current cap is* - title+ minion/mount
*same achievement
I know. Lame idea. Common idea. It'd just be cool to have. I've got a notebook of 527 personal entries but I know there's way more and I'm missing a lot of stats and lore entries
I feel this would promote people to seek out and do old content they may never have done before or enter areas they had no reason to go to before
**An afterthought. To the quests that cannot be completed again with relevant unique mob incounters, I would propose that they be ticked as entered in the bestiary as long as that quests been completed.
