I find it silly to knock the Scions for not having a solution to Primals considering there's, like, no easy solution to it, lol? That's kind of the whole point! The vaunted wisdom of Allag could only contain them, but time and time again we've seen their containments fail--especially considering the Tempering process can occur with them contained. (And it's going to be impossible to convince someone not to mess with something for all of eternity, so it's gonna happen).

We could look to Varis' solution, but is genocide really something you want to advocate? Not to mention that's going to cause more summonings before it causes less.

My point was more to show how its easy to point fingers at things but that solving the problem itself might not be that easy itself. And if you take care of a whole country then a possible good solution can turn into a catastrophic ending really fast. So Y'shtola might have been in the right to point it out but it does not change the fact that she is not the one in charge thus does not have to make those decisions herself. (I at least would not want to be in the position of making such choices)

And who knows maybe in SB we or more Lyse will realize that its not that easy to take Ala Mhigo back and that maybe some people will even be opposed to it. But seeing how we managed to stop that long dragon/human war, I am quite sure that everything will be fine in the end. (Not sure if this is good or bad as storytelling)

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

I wouldn't say necessarily bad on it's own but context is important here. We are to believe the WoL and a ragtag group of rebels just waltz into not only one, but two annexed territories of the most powerful country on the 3 great continents. Idk how the story will pan out obviously but I can't shake the feeling that they'll liberate both locations much easier than they should. For all the build up about how the garleans are this big global threat they are shown to be incompetent time and time again, at the thing they are supposed to be the best at no less.
