I did. There has been mention of the spells she has been using especially to function normally after her time in the stream will kill her at some point.
The lyrics are actually probably "she shall guide", as "Trust in grace / and she shall die" doesn't make much sense in the context of the verse (which is warning the listener against being blinded by faith in justice, and instead to turn to grace). This MAY be a death flag for Shtola, but as this game has a habit of subverting death flags (Aymeric has dozens) and as Y'Shtola is practically the face of the game merch-wise, I'm not gonna get to worried about her fate.
Yep. She was the FFXIV stand-in in both Dissidia and Theathrhythm, probably because she's the most prominent catgirl the game has to offer, so I don't see her going anywhere anytime soon. And I'm glad about that too. I feel like she's the only Scion that gets shit done right away! Boss ass besh right there.
Yeah, they're highly unlikely to kill off Y'shtola, given that she's the stand in for FFXIV where other titles are concerned. She's also - in my opinion - one of the more nuanced Scions, given that she wasn't afraid to call out Merlwyb for the hypocrisy involving dealings with the Kobolds and Sahagin. I would like it very much if she served as the voice of reason to call out her allies if they seek to go too far during 4.0 and beyond. She recognised the merit in temporarily teaming up with Regula, after all.
I also believe that it said "guide" not "die". Otherwise that would be one massive spoiler.Yeah, they're highly unlikely to kill off Y'shtola, given that she's the stand in for FFXIV where other titles are concerned. Sorry for the little off topic: I found that scene with her and Merlwyb kinda interesting, since calling someone out is really easy but I was wondering what she herself would have done if she needed to take care of a whole city/country. IMO its always easy to point fingers but sometimes I wonder how the scions would solve the problems if they are in charge. (Also kinda funny since the scions still dont have a solution to stop the primals from being summoned..they most of the time only react when its too late.)
But I do kinda wonder how many of the shown characters are still alive after the expansion. I believe that most of the scions will survive this, since they already lost quite some people in 2.0 and 3.0. (I mean its not only the main scions that died for us) The new roe guy just really has a lot of death flags imo and also Yugiri is on that list. I still hope that we will go out of this with our allies alive but after HW..well I just stay realistic and hope that my last two or three liked characters are going to make it. x)
I find it silly to knock the Scions for not having a solution to Primals considering there's, like, no easy solution to it, lol? That's kind of the whole point! The vaunted wisdom of Allag could only contain them, but time and time again we've seen their containments fail--especially considering the Tempering process can occur with them contained. (And it's going to be impossible to convince someone not to mess with something for all of eternity, so it's gonna happen).
We could look to Varis' solution, but is genocide really something you want to advocate? Not to mention that's going to cause more summonings before it causes less.
First 15 seconds the adder guy wearing serpent grand marshal uniform , ;_; SE what happened to old one
ALL THE AU RA NPCS ARE SO PRETTY AND THEY WEAR EVERYTHING SO WELL.
ALSO ITS SUPER INTERESTING TO KNOW WHAT AN OLD AU RA LADY LOOKS LIKE.
I can't wait to learn of Fordola's story.
Also is it me or is anyone else slightly annoyed by how Lyse can't seem to hold her ground against Fordola even though she went head to head with Livia sas Junius as Yda?
To be fair to Lyse, it's possible she doesn't want to actually kill a fellow Ala Mihgan, there's a similar vibe with another Resistance member just before Fordola and Lyse's 1st scene.
Always remember that trailers are many times cut in such a way as to hide how things are truly happening. Its entirely possible that Lyse has the upper hand in every fight with Fordola and we are just seeing the parts where she manages to hold her own. Its also possible that Fordola is actually very skilled. Hell for all we know she could be one of Hydaelyn's chosen (and you certainly wouldn't see THAT in one of the trailers).
