A Question about the Final Steps of Faith aftermath

When the Warrior of Light is given the power of one of Hraesvelger's eyes, to be empowered enough to do battle with Nidhogg--is this action ever undone?

That is, does the WoL ever 'give it back' to Hraesvelger? Is the WoL, even now, immortal?

I'll need to rewatch it to be sure but from what I remember we do give up that power since we also give him back his eye. It isn't like King Thordan and his merry men who ate Ratatoskr's eyes after all.

When he flies away, he has both his eyes again. So the WoL returned it.

In the CS with Migardsormr, Hraesvelgr, and the WoL in Churning Mists post Final Steps of Faith it clearly shows that we returned the eye.
