What is the story behind your character's name?

Quite honestly, I don't know how I came up with Lapiz Lazuli (was originally supposed to be pronounced more like 'Lapith Lathuli' cus I thought it was Spanish but I play with mostly English people so they say it with Z's not TH's). XD
It just popped into my head when I made my Lalafel CNJ for the 2.0 beta test phase 2. I had no idea what it meant/what it was but I knew it was a thing, so I googled it later and found out that it's supposed to be spelt lapis lazuli XD The best part is that the gem is blue which is my favourite colour ^.^
It is interesting, cus every so often someone comes up to me in-game asking if I've watched Steven Universe, played minecraft or even played FF7 (apparently it's one of the bosses or their attacks? cant remember tbh). Not gunna lie, the first couple of times that it happened I was just like '....watched what?' I still need to watch Steven Universe as my character's name is how I found out about it and I wanna know more! Also!...I've played Minecraft for about 30m before and that was a few years ago so I didn't think of my name based on that XD
What's also interesting is how many people spell it Lapis, not Lapiz because it's supposed to have an S ^.^ I don't mind cus I know that they're talking to me (and I don't correct them either for that reason) but when they realise they're usually embarrassed (poor souls)

Some person made an alt with a name close to mine (one letter difference). So I changed to what glam I had at the time: bunny chief. Strife is my husband's last name.

I started on a different server than I am now due to it unavailable at the time, and didn't realize I could use the same name in each world. A friend had picked this server, cause another one of her friends was on it. So I made this name, and then after getting settled into the server and leveled her quite a bit, I decided to keep her instead of starting over (changing my name at a low level seemed pointless) Now it seems pointless to change my name at all since I'm in a FC, and I have gotten quite use to this name. Kinda grew on me, maybe it was just a sign I needed a change from my norm. Though, I did make a sub character with my original name I go with. Perhaps I'll actually get around to playing her...

Evil Kitten, well had it since I was 16 and always been my username, character name every time. I initially had the name Cat which eventually ended up being Kitten since at the time I was the youngest in that circle of friends so reaching adulthood it stuck.
Now the evil part, I didn't exactly decide that but it end up being attached to kitten when my bf at the time let out it should be Evil because I can be evil sometimes. Since we parted on mutual terms and remained friends to this day I have to no desire to drop it as it meant something then and still does to this day. ^^

"Xiaomu Xiang" is just a name that I've used for a while (Most notably in Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors Empires). I've always like the name "Xiaomu" and "Xiang" just seems to go well with it.

I kinda kept the naming theme with her sisters (read: my alts): Xiaoyu, Xiaowu, Xiaolu, and Xiaozu.

I've been doing hidden perverted names for my MMO characters since EQ in 2000 and this character is no exception and really dirty tbh. lol

I was looking up tricksters and came across Reynard. He was Northwestern European which fits the naming convention. Saw Reineke was an alternative spelling and looked more feminine. And Isengrim was his uncle and it looked like a family name.

I made up the last name Scindaire (Combination of Scindere [Scindo - to cleave/divide], and -aire suffix) and chose Rhode as a nice sounding first name that although does not strictly adhere to naming conventions, is close enough for me.
