Amestra was the name of my norse berserker in DAOC after hitting random name
Blackoak is a random last name(in this case Viktor Blackoak) of a evil mage(or was it evil mage lord?) enemy npc in Ultima Online

My character's name is simply a slight variation on my RL name. >_>
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
Ren means lotus which I find the aquatic flower absolutely beautiful (just like my character!) and I love the symbolism behind it which is hope, rebirth
Kurosaki (not Bleach related) means black mantle or cloak; in other terms, it could represent darkness
Ren Kurosaki means one who is hopeful during harsh times and will rise to become something incredibly beautiful.
When you read about the lotus flower, it grew out from the mud then later rose above water to become the flower it was meant to be.
My character - along with the name - was thought of waay before FFXIV arrived.
This name is indeed Japanese origin, but since this is FFXIV, the name can be Doman/Far Eastern.![]()

[super inactive on this Forum LOL]
Horribly uncreative, I simply took two things in my environment. Was watching Stargate, so Ori. The kid was nearby playing with a 20 some-odd year old Qui-Gon Jinn light saber toy of mine. So, Jinn. I put them together and realized I could change the last name to Gin in order to make Ori Gin. Origin.
Named my chocobo "Ally", so we are Ori Gin Ally.
Cesil has been the name I've been using since I was very small. It came from my little brother actually...we were playing FF6 and I told him to name Celes...he asks me what to name her so I said anything..lol so I went out to let the dog out, come back and notice her name was Cesil. My brother was like well I love Cecil from FF4 so I made up a girls version of his name! Used it ever since :P
And Rapture...the last name came from that song by iio , same meaning/idea ^^
My dog's name is Cupcake, she is my baby so I knew I wanted to use her name. After a week of hating every variation of "Cupcake lastname" I could think of, I made it her last name instead and started hating things less. Almost went with Strawberry Cupcake, then I decided I liked the way Sprinkles Cupcake flowed. It wasn't until someone sent me a tell saying that they loved the cupcakes from there that I even noticed what I had done.
Story behind my name?
In-game Random name generator. Might as well have a lore name. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For me Nemeera was my deathknight in WoW and Starnight was my chanter in Aion
I took up playing EQ1 in early 2000, and I decided to make a necromancer. At the time, I was listening to Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" and the lyrics sorta fit for a necromancer . So vengeance became Venjenz.
It's been the name of my character (or main) in every game, as well as my gaming forum and entire web presence for gaming ever since.
Not sure what I love more in this post, the necromancer, or the fact that JUDAS PRIEST IS MENTIONED (fangirling)I took up playing EQ1 in early 2000, and I decided to make a necromancer.
