You can't have more than 180 days in game time, it wont let you add any more time cards, so you'd have to be active for 3 years and a half and then buy 3 time cards to get the 4th year rewards.
Pretty much that, as long as you have a active subscription, you will receive the rewards. It doesn't matter if you log into the game during that time. But if you cancel your subscription, it will stop counting towards your rewards obviously. Also the first month doesn't count, after purchasing the game itself, because the game itself comes with this free 30 day promo, not that it matters but it might help when calculating the time remaining.
But the problem still remains, SE doesn't allow you, to add that much of game time in one purchase, therefore you won't be able to get the outfit right away and will sadly have to wait till your time has come![]()
What is it with game companies and refusing to take people's money? I could understand if we were talking about an indie dev or small studio, where there's risk of closure and thus your money would be forfeit (which is kind of a big deal, legally speaking). However, there's no way Squeenix would ever close their doors so there's no risk involved with it.
Its a business. Businesses have quarterly books they want to keep in check to show how they doing to their share holders. Just throwing money at them messes up their mojo. Business don't like having the mojo messed with. They don't take your money. What is it with game companies and refusing to take people's money? Back to the Squall question, I think there is a limit to have much time you can add to your account. Like you have a membership of 180 days but you can't go over that. Like say you been playing the straight 30 day rate but then pay for 180 rate the following month. This is just paying with a straight credit card than time cards but I imagine it works the same. I have seen people get veteran rewards sooner because they used a 30 day time card

I'm sitting at 1260 days right now. Sub ended today actually. I can renew now for 30 days and only hit 1290 days, or, I can wait til Friday (payday) and renew for 180, putting me at 1440 and earning the Squall costume.
. . .See you Friday!
