So, just a question. Is housing going to be available for early access or will it be out on day one? I'm a bit worried as I know in this game houses disappear faster than someone picking money off the floor, and I'm sure they'll all be gone on day one

Shirogane will be locked behind a portion of the msq and I believe available for browsing as long as you get to that point, however they're holding off on allowing purchase so players have time to get through the msq without skipping everything just to be the first in the housing district. I don't think they've said how long they're holding off before opening up the doors to purchasing, but early acces/launch day won't have anyone showing showing off their shirogane mansions.

Now the question is, how many time before all houses are taken the day they will go for sale ? I bet on a maximum of 5 minutes.

Not to mention that if the moving feature will free the old used lands right at the purchase of the new one, it will not produce free spots for the random player that didnt find one since whole months. Not when people will be like with their friends "Ok, are you in front of my house ? Yes ? Nobody is spying on you ? Good, i am gonna try to buy a Shirogane's spot right now, be ready to buy the old one as soon as it become free !".

I dont really like all the cliches about having to be jobless for enjoying a mmo to the fullest, but when i see the number of players i encounter in front of my appartment, and that in whole months i still have to see a free housing spot (yes, i am not even talking about not having enough money or being a few minutes late to buy it, but only to see one), you better have not to be at work or school the day Shirogane's district will be open for sale. Because all is gonna be taken when you will connect again to the game.

That being said the actual housing system is the only big downside i see for now to the game, everything else is so much better compared to my old mmos, so it could be worse. Or making you want to have some sort of instanced housing so that everyone could have one, thus making the game even greater.

I will keep my medium in the lava beds tyvm. After living in 2 different wards, on my second house and being in several FCs, there is zero neighborhood socialization. I never see people except for the guy across the way occasionally accessing his house and even rarer, a player looking at the housing MB. They may or may not wave back. FC people zone to the FC, run inside and that's usually the last I see of them unless they tend plants or the chocos. If there is a social aspect with the new housing, it will be short-lived and not worth the cost and effort to move. You can have the nicest and most inviting house in the world but it's worth nothing if there is no one but yourself to visit.

Its not necessarily about the social aspect, well it is at the same time. I mean I want people to visit my house but also I've always wanted a house to myself rather than a small apartment. And Yeah I know regardless the day they come out it's gonna be bought out right away, i'll have to be up all night or something lol
