Is there anything known about the status of plants currently growing in the gardens that willbe unavailable during the server relocations? Will time stand still or will everyone lose their stuff? Thank you for your time

In a normal patch time will progress for gardens. I believe status is calculated on the time you planted when the server updates as opposed to a running clock.
Spam your fertilizer today and hope you can harvest before the patch hits. Its almost garaunteed to be dead when you can log in after.
Why do you have stuff planted anyways? It not exactly a secret about the server relocation being 48 hours. They have had notice up for like a month about it, So if you planted stuff and lose it during the downtime it really your own fault.
Because it's something a lot of people don't think about. I have some long-growth crops put in right now and I just didn't think about it. Kind of silly to blame people for not thinking of something that would never be an issue with a normal patch. It's certainly a valid question.

Well the game has shoved the notice in my face every time I have logged in for the last week, so kind of hard not to think about it.Because it's something a lot of people don't think about. I never said I had anything planted. I just thought it'd be a valid question to ask since my friend is trying to crossbreed stuff.
Well you didn't say you were asking for someone else or just in general either, so that why it was assumed that you had stuff planted yourself.
This was definitely something I was curious about myself, as I've been gathering seeds to start crossbreeding for Glazenuts. However, I think the plants will still grow like they would if servers were up and running, so I chose instead to just spend extra days stockpiling rather than risk losing any plants during the server relocation. Would love some confirmation on this from a moderator though, in case of any future extended maintenance periods.

I would delay it. While there have been patches with server down times or general maintenance were the plants wouldn't be affected, there also have been the same situation with the plants being affected. In this case, it's a server move, that's a little bit different then just a patch or maintenance downtime, instead of being disappointed and frustrated later on, just wait till the servers have been moved. Unless it's a cross breed that you don't care much about, or have plenty of seeds laying around to give it another try later on.
I had no problems with my plants, I watered them 5 minutes before maintenance and then again as the servers came back online, 7 day grow, no issues.
