I understand your concern but isnt the Vr already designed? They made a demo of titan in vr. Most likely, all the have to do is use that code. It shouldn't be very hard or use up much time at all. Im not asking for motion controls. I just want a big 3d viewport. :P Titan completely did that.
The game isn't designed for VR. One of the big issues that developers need to currently work around with VR is the way a person moves in the game. There are countless articles you can look up about it, but the way we currently move in game, whether its just walking, running, dodging, etc., would cause motion sickness for most people very quickly. I doubt anyone would be able to play for more than 10 mins. It's just one of the reasons why games need to built from the ground up for VR, rather than VR tacked on for novelty.
This is what I would want, to play the game exactly as I do not but with a 3D VR display (looking through the camera, not 1st person). Basically it would seem like you are right there in the game floating above your character watching the action.-Vr view only, no controls, nothing different from normal play except you could see more of the environment and in 3d. I could play on a standard controller just fine in vr. The camera could stay in the same locations as it is now, i would just have a bigger field of view.
VR doesn't work too well with glasses atm. This might not be a great idea with current technology. Wait until VR evolves more and stops making people feel motion sickness.
