Thread: [Poll] Rank Job difficulty on a scale from 1-10 as of patch 3.57

Curious to see what people find the hardest, and the easiest job to play.
Results will be posted in about a week.
Maybe we can do one at the end of Stormblood as well, and compare the results (:

Where's the option for "not played"?

I can't for example say how easy or difficult drk mch and ast are because I haven't even bothered to unlock them they just don't interest me... and my drg hasn't been touched since it got 50 in 1.0

Just leave it empty, you're not required to fill in everything

Voted. I feel like it's a bit hard to objectively judge "difficulty" though, because jobs we play a lot are always going to seem easier to us than jobs we're not used to. I have DRG, SMN, and BLM to 60 but other than getting them up there, I never play them, so they seem way harder to me than DRK or AST, which I've sunk lots of hours into, while I'm sure the exact opposite answer could be true for someone who plays a lot of DRG but no DRK at all? Hope that makes sense.

Paladin is definitely a -2/10. I will unashamedly claim that I main the easiest job in this game.

Hell, we didn't even have a rotation until HW. It was literally one combo.

I was halfway into it and them stopped because I felt the poll should've asked learning curve difficulty instead.

For instance, for me right now SMN is the easiest to play but I've been playing since day 1. WHM and DRK are also easy for me to play with but I feel the learning curve was normal.

In my opinion, "easiest" to play is something that is attained after you spent enough time playing it.

That's more or less how I assessed difficulty; the curve between learning and mastery. I ranked Dark Knight 10 purely because the ceiling on that job is noticeably high due to all it's resource management compared to Warrior and Paladin. Similarly, I put Dragoon at 6 since it's fairly straight forward enough you understand the rotation.
