So they're adding flutes for bards?

MNK: This expansion is gonna be awesome! I'm going to be unbeatable!
BRD: What about a flute busting prussian?

Never take things too seriously. It's seriously not worth it.

Did anyone notice the file name on that one though?

I hope I'm just reading too much into it and it doesn't mean they're giving some of the would-be DNCety moves to BRD.

Well, the DRG one was called FFXIV_dragoon_rubysea so my guess is the Bard one was taken in the Azim Steppe or something and the name was truncated.

Not that every file name has little things like that mind you, some of the others were just named something generic like FFXIV_job_newaction - so not very consistent all things considered.

The flute is a special move for bards. They can only play this song and only if they are the last one standing in the raid. They are invincible for the entire song but unable to act. It will generate a new tome called Bard Tears and can be traded or Poetics... because as an outsider looking in SE seems to hate BRDs as much as they hate PLDs.

In Type-0, Deuce's flute conjures defense-piercing blasts of sound waves that absolutely shred the HP of enemies in the game. Not saying this is what this flute's going to do, just saying we should expect the unexpected. Not all music-based actions have to be supportive.
