Actually believe it or not even though the world isn't all that great if you just go to the usual spots and never head out to those rarely used gates you surely have not seen everything. Ex. Castles in coerthas, the weird monument thing up near lasthold, the sylph homes and there giant plant(?) thing they refuse to let you near, the reactors in northern thanalan. It might not have much reward if your only goal is increasing your characters usefullness but it's still some cool stuff to look at and you are technically rewarded for visiting atherythe gates with the teleport from camp thing (though useless since if you do go there again with other people they probably won't have it). Also most of these places are a pretty good way to test your skills with the extremely high level mobs (some you can't even see anywhere else).lol @ vast eorzea...seen one end of the map, seen it all (that's why they are changing it pretty much completely...it sucks XD ...and most everyone agreed lol)
*this part not directed at the above person*
As for the achievements not being content well that entirely depends on your point of view. Someone who is an extreme crafter or gatherer is almost surely going to do whatever achievement they can to get there fancy golden equipment (assuming they have good stats) to increase there capabilites as a crafter/gatherer. No matter how I look at it that will be content for them at least. Yes achievements like kill 1k enemies sux but since we don't have the entire list yet lets not bank on that being the only style of achievement (Unless your banking on bad things to happen?). On the flip side if you don't enjoy killing things as a combat class, don't do gatherer/crafter, and don't enjoy exploring then I don't think they will be adding anything that could possibly satisfy you ever....

finally someone said it... 1.20 isn't even really a content patch as much as it is a more advanced groundwork patch (MW/player search and class revamps are enormous undertakings). If you don't like the Ifrit fight/strongholds/the idea of another moogle primal, in my opinion you are either:
-close-minded
-didn't level your classes up properly
-"hate the weapon design."
Close minded people tell you that latency makes avoiding attacks impossible and that loot system is broken, even though they never took the time to learn Ifrit's timing or read the Primal loot fix coming next week.
The people who didn't level their classes properly are whining about THM/CON roles, claiming that making Sentinel mandatory makes the game inaccessible, and all around Q.Qing in an endless sea of misguided laziness.
And the people who "don't like the weapon designs" are the worst of all. These are the people who leveled their character when the game had just launched despite it's glaring flaws, and are now pissed about how slow content is rolling out of the pipeline. No matter what the developers give us in the future, these people will be here eternally. B*tching and moaning that the game is broken beyond repair, that SE is making all the wrong choices, and that we're all idiots for "wasting our time" pre 2.0.
In conclusion, either play the game or don't. If achievements, a new primal, and various other small stuff isn't enough to keep you interested (or even be CALLED content, to some apparently), then wait until jobs and job specific quests/armor/abilities launch in early March. There is no reason to continue lurking these boards.
And even then they've made it easier for us by bringing Sentinel down to be obtained at Level 22. Most cross-class skills are even low level as of the incoming patch, so it's not that hard to get the "prerequisites" for a chosen combat role.

class rework isn't enough? re-learn how to use your class + being able to parcitipate in endgame normaly banned to your class should be pretty fun.
At this point im afraid that everything will change again, while im curious about how they`re leaving the class battle mechanics i feel that if they keep doing changes at some point everyone will be tired, i hope this is the last overhaul they do, in my honest opinion i would like them to take as long as they need to make a BIG, HUGE, MASSIVE change only once even if they take 6 months to do it, i would have prefered that they made this patch on January-February of course giving us a few more bones in the last patch to be able to stay busy, and release the next patch with all the overhaul including jobs, dungeons and primals, that way the game would feel like a complete new game but at the moment ill wait and see if i stay or leave and come back in a few months.
Dont misunderstand me, i love this game and im here since release, but its changing too much and bit by bit i feel like i wont be able to enjoy it in the same way that i should
