Malboro is what those big ugly tentacled plant monsters have always been known as in the English-language versions of the FF games - 'morbol' is the literal Japanese-to-English translation (and was also used for the English version of FFXI). Confusingly, speaking of FFXI there was an actual version of the malboro in FFXI that was specifically called a 'malboro', of the morbol enemy family. Confused yet?

Funnily enough a malboro morbol mount is actually available in FFXI, so there is precedent for it.

No, I'm not confused. I was just poking at the various forms of the name for said mob. I've played Tactics enough to see Malboro/Ochu mobs and know they are the same.

I can't see riding on top of one of those, but a mount themed after the creature might work well.
