The infamous "skip mentality" gone so far to see people run to inactive gates and stay there, or just keep looking at you while you killing solo a mob in front of them faces, on daily basis.

But not everything is negative, think at it: all those people stay in potd and not infesting duties and other content, isn't that a god bless?

Sitting on an UNOPENED gate is an entirely different animal.

Once the gate is open, yes, beeline for it and move on. You get more rewards per hour by speedrunning everything. But, if it's not open yet, that's just griefing.
