I know? tell that to the people that got nasty though, its like.. no point in telling me this. The point of what you quoted of me was to show the person I was replying to, that the person put more effort in typing "dispell" (not dispel, so 7 chrs not 6) when they used leeches though the translate, and that is a lot less key presses then typing dispell, so the question would be, why even bother saying a word someone may not know to begin with?

Maybe its different in the language they were on?I know? tell that to the people that got nasty though, its like.. no point in telling me this. I got tired of running into people that don't actually try to play POTD and just beeline for the exit so I stopped trying. It takes too long to do it solo so I just stopped playing it completely.
Or just look at the situation and come to the conclusion others have? They're right: faster runs = more runs = more of everything you want from doing the runs. No need to ragequit. Are people really incapable of accepting that the way they thought was best of doing a thing turns out isn't?
And all I said was there is a shorter way, doesn't have to be the way that was said in that situation. I'm saying "in general, why would a person say dispel (correct spelling or otherwise) when there's a shorter word that won't stump people?" The length of the word's irrelevant since it's so close, just adds that small touch of irony.

Because it is NOT TRUE for palace of the dead! for some things sure, but when you are skipping uncovered rooms that takes maybe a 30 sec to a minute to scout and there maybe be 3 silvers in there while a monster drops a 4th, from one room, and I seen this happen, vs pushing people with 20-30 aetherpool never finding chests because they are not on a direct route to the gate? To me this is just an agurment people are trying to propose to defend harassing others that people use in the DF to stop their progress. And all I said was there is a shorter way, doesn't have to be the way that was said in that situation. In the end of things exp in this game is handed to you, it is easy, so why get bent out of shape to actually spending 5 extra minutes total helping someone???? WHAT A CONCEPT!!!!
For why the drama over the word, the fact they used the sarcastic remark leads me to believe they entered with the mindset of conflict and would start something if they did not speedrun, and it is not the first I seen this. In one run I did enter with my friend where we got MPKed because we got paired with another pair from our server, when questioned about it, their answer was simply 'conflict of play style" and ever got a clear answer for the MPK directly. I think using such term (and I am disagreeing with any localization argument if they know English that well with that kind of sarcastic remark) was used to see if they can stir up something since they did not like the non-speed run pace to begin with.
You have to understand, some people play to have fun, not rush rush rush everything. So if enthauptet/Judy Hopps is not having fun, and find it stressful they will simply not play. Why is this hard to understand? This is why later that day, the other friend put us in a trio just us 3 in matched to see how it goes. Well the only DPS was low aetherpool so was slow and did not find it worth doing. So they did not play rest of the day.
I do not think it is SE's goal to have a DF where one way of playing pushes people out to not playing completely, and that is the point of this thread, to show awareness of this problem, and for whatever reason, some people want to act like it does not exist.
Ama, everything you just said, except for the drama over the many uses of the word dispell, can easily be turned into an argument for speed runners against people wanting to check all the rooms.
We also have a report function that exists for a reason - it also happens to be the answer to the OP's issue. The devs are aware that toxicity like the above can and does happen, and it's why it's a function in the game and why they have staff to look at said reports.
Report it, black list the individual, and move on.
Unless the OP wants a GM on hand to smack players in the back of their virtual heads when stuff like that happens, they already have a solution to their problem.
You don't get upgrades if you skip the stuff so why would I run it?Or just look at the situation and come to the conclusion others have? They're right: faster runs = more runs = more of everything you want from doing the runs. No need to ragequit. Have you considered that they have the fixed party option in place as a possible counter?
You can either run DF and take a chance at getting a group whose goals are inline with yours, or run fixed and guarantee your party's goals are inline with yours.
They even designed it such that you don't need a full party, or even set roles. (up until a certain point, but that point isn't really until after floor 100.
Honestly, it sounds like you want to punish players for not playing the way you want them to, instead of using the tools already available to you to make sure you're playing with a group that has like-minded goals...and that's only ever going to lead to conflict for you.
