When are we getting an anime for this game? I mean SE has its hands in a few well written and animated animes, so why not FFXIV?

And not trapped in a game or an anime about the players like Father of Light. And not about the Scions or WoL. Just about a small FC and their adventures and troubles. It would be a blast.

I probably would not mind this to be honest. It'd be an interesting way to learn more about Eorzea for sure and the various kinds of people who live there. Certainly a good way to write some rich characters with deeper backstories and personalities than the extremely limited MMO format can provide.

But I might get tired of every villain being a Lalafell with an inferiority complex.

A sort of background globe-trotting (well, Eorzea-trotting) anime linking together some of the less scene but pivotal factions running beneath the main plot could be cool, providing we can make interesting enough characters out of them. Wouldn't necessarily have to keep the individual Path of the Twelve members out of it either, only to keep it separate from what we're already seeing in the main plot (the side- or other lives of the Scions, for instance).

We already have Daddy of Light and the novel (or whatever it was) so an anime adaptation would be nice.

Maybe have it base it off on 1.0? Make it star the WoLs?

Honestly I wouldn't mind an anime, but isn't it kind of a big deal that the story centers around 'You'? What would the story be about in the anime? Would it be action packed or focus more on daily life in Eorzea?

I would rather have a prequel anime about the fate of the Thirteenth, since it's so intertwined with Eorzea's current state. Also, there would be lots of flashy battles.

I see a great story about say characters moving through the world as the events unfold.

Do a season per part, Season 1.0, Season 2.0, and so on.

I think it could be a pretty cool opportunity to tell stories in the past, or maybe from a different perspective (Garlean side, I can easily picture scenarios where we look like the monster (given a perspective shift) - although that might alienate some people who might have watched otherwise, cause they wanted to see their side). The past part still nice, show some super badass from the past and reveal some of the story that made the world we trod on now.

Not sure how interested I'd be in simple retelling of stuff I've already done (like watching another band of adventurers doing the same things I've done, doing other things though that'd be fine - don't mind if its during the same time periods lol). SAO type ideas are very unappealing to me, but that's just preference (feels cheesy, a big point of the plot shouldn't be cheesy - "imo").
