Is RDM going to have cross class abilities?

I've only recently resubbed after like 2 years away, so you'll forgive me for the lacking familiarity with the current game... but is Red Mage going to have cross class abilities? And do we yet know from which classes? I'd like to spend the next month prepping, but don't exactly know what direction to go in.

Cross class abilities are changing in 4.0 to cross-role, meaning you'll get them regardless of levelling other jobs.

No need to level anything, just having any job at 50 and access to Ishgard will be enough to pick up RDM.

You wont have to level anything else up as stated before, you can probably expect cross role skills like sure/swiftcast and probably raging strikes, of course these are just my opinion, considering they get some buff or mechanic called chainspell for the ranged magic role itll play as, Ive got noidea what possible cross role skills it will have. Seems like maybe e4e or virus, but to the roots of a dps, it wouldnt make sense. For rdm it sort of would

They're suppose to be removing the cross class system in favor of a role based system. So RDM will be a ranged magic dps so it will take abilities that are in the ranged magic dps role. We don't know what those abilities will be yet but they aren't supposed to be tied to any classes just roles.

But if I had to guess what cross classes RDM would take from I'd guess THM and ARC.

I meant ARC as in Archer not ACN Arcanist.
