    Monk dps

Hi hi ^^. Hope everyone is doing fine

So lately i've been training as monk and i need some guidance. What is considered as good dps on a dummy for 3 mins? I am hitting 2750/2800 without party buff with pots and food, and my friends are telling me im relatively low. What do you all think?

    I am wearing this gear:

Hey there you're running the set up I use, bar anima ^^

I don't know on a 3 min dummy though I'm afraid in that set up, last time I tested was still with a 260 anima and 260 chest though, no ultima ring and was roughly 2600-2650 on the dummies.

At the time (pre echo) it was all purple numbers when I did the fights.

But unfortunately I have no concrete stats on that set up for what you should be hitting on a dummy. Although "relatively low" seems a bit harsh. Personally I dislike dummy parses anyway though as I'm sure you're aware if you can't manage your positionals and stacks around mechanics then it doesn't translate anyway dps wise, so personally I'd focus more on what you hit in fights rather than on a dummy.

(Edit) Sorry just realised you said you are using Pots and Food O.O are you made of gil xD yeah I'd say you should be hitting a little harder, I never ever run dummies with pots and food. But still "relatively low" is still harsh imo.

Using Purification (as the first couple times I was running on empty before the 3min mark), seems I average out at about 2660-2690. No food, no PT buffs and no BiS. I'm just in full augmented Shire gear with some Proto accessories and my Anima.

I had some NQ Baked Pipira Pira that a friend gave me, so I ran another quick test using that and Forbidden Chakra (still kinda ran on fumes about 15-20s from the 3min mark) and averaged at around 2740.

I honestly wouldn't know what's really "good" for a MNK to parse at i270 but I've gotten no complaints so far. So, you can just take my silly testings how you will!

Edit: Without the food/pots I tend to average in the 2700s when using Forbidden Chakra at just under 3min.

I do 2k6 with my 1340 skillspeed DRG.

You should probably do at least 2k8-3K.

I just tested for the sake of testing, 2800 without food or pots etc. And I'm a little out of practice q.q I dropped demolish twice.... Haven't ran savage in weeks and I've been focusing on leveling all my outstanding classes.

When I started to learn monk I used that opener as a starting point but I now have my own variation of that opener.
