*New* player wondering which server to play on [EUROPE]

Hello everyone, I am new to this game, and I was wondering which servers are the most populated ones in Europe?

Odin and Ragnarok are the most populated, but I think Cerberus and Phoenix are quite healthy sized too.

Between Ragnarok and Odin, which one is the most populated one?

And what is the difference between those two?

Ragnarok is the data center legacy server, Odin is pretty much as active as ragnarok, both do excel on pve and pvp..the only notable difference is that ragnarok has a title of legacy server and odin doesn't that's it lol

Both Ragnarok and Odin are great servers, my advice is to make a character on both and just play around.

As a new player don't make the mistake to create two characters. Believe me, one is more than enough to keep you busy if you don't wanna do hardcore endgame stuff.

Actually I was aiming to get to endgame before the next expansion, and do some pvp aswell... hmm

Here's the player made census of active players and raid clears on each server:

Active player in this case means characters whose Lodestone profile has changed since the previous census (gear change, new minions etc). As you can tell Odin and Ragnarok are very close to each other on both on raid activity and population.

For what I know both realms are primarily English speaking. There is notable Nordic presence on Odin, not sure about Ragnarok though. Basically pick whichever server is open for character creation first or whose name you like more lol. Party Finder is shared between all EU realms so finding groups for trials/raids is easier than before.
