For dungeons with lore tidbits, it's easier to use Return at the end then go through at your own pace. Or I guess form a lore premade..

As for branching paths.. it's hard enough to get some chests in certain dungeons (like the accessory chest after the first boss of the arboretum, before the walls). I can't see it being well utilized for DF, and I'm not sure if pre-made only would be worth the dev effort for designing it - it sounds like a lot of effort on their end for something that might be neglected by players.
