[REQUEST] Please fix Duty Finder queues

I bet most of you have experienced this before:

You queue up for a random Alliance Raid, maybe one of the old ARR ones. You know that it's a bad time to queue but you just want to get it done.
You wait and wait and wait and- Oh, the Duty popped!

    [Tanks: 3/3] [Healers: 6/6] [DPS: 14/15]

"A party member has withdrawn from the Duty. Finding new member."

Oh well, let's wait a bit. It should pop again soon.

    [Tanks: 3/3] [Healers: 5/6] [DPS: 15/15]
"A party member has withdrawn from the Duty. Finding new member."

    Queue resets completely.
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Now, let's talk about Frontlines. For those of you who haven't done any PVP yet, let me explain this.
Frontline Duties can start even if not everyone in the queue hits "Commence".
The confirmation window can show "68/72" and still teleport you into the Duty.
There hasn't been a single time where the remaining party slots haven't filled up during the preparation phase.

So, my question is the following:
Why can't other Duties, especially the Alliance Raids, be like Frontlines?
It would be so much better to let us commence the Duty with 23 players instead of letting a single Netflix watcher ruin the queue for everyone else. It would be a major improvement in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on this?

Pre-GARO I have actually had this happen. Once I somehow won a Seal Rock game on a team of four (!) people - I think the other teams forgot about us!

But yes, content is so easy now that forcing everyone to wait for the last person who seems to have narcolepsy and keeps failing to enter even though you know they won't make or break the run is just annoying. I have wished it would just let me go in on more than one occasion.

Yeah, missing a healer or a DPS for the first half of a 24-man really wouldn't be a problem. Would be nice if they'd let us in without that 15th DPS player who's compulsively unable to press Commence in time.

Getting into labyrinth of the ancients is nearly impossible because of this, at least in my experience.

There's people who abuse the ready up period to troll the que no doubt. I agree with what this thread wants. Seriously just let us in.

I would agree with this under one condition: If someone withdraws, everyone else gets the option "Enter duty anyways?" and only if all 23 (or 22... or 21... however many there are left) people hit "Yes", they load into the duty - this seems like the best way to prevent an alliance loading into the duty with crucial people missing (as in: two healers missing in one group, for example)

I totally get how annoying it is when the queue keeps on popping and timing out, but i can kinda see why it's that way. Imagine you're doing a non prime time raid, that's taking long enough just to get full, and 2 tanks and 3 healers miss the queue and you still get put in. You're now waiting on those tanks and healers to have join in progress checked, which from experience i know sometimes never happens depending on the time of day.

In frontlines, people missing the queue isn't as bad due to the nature of pvp, and like you say, a lot have join in progress checked, from back when queue times were real bad.

Maybe something like a raid is still considered fresh until the first boss is down.

Well, there'd have to be a check to make sure that a minimum amount of players of each role are present. So for a 24-man, having at least two tanks across all three parties and at least one healer and four DPS in each party would be a decent requirement. That'd still let you get in while missing a maximum of seven people.

Obviously this adds risk, since we all know what the average raid DPS is like in 24-mans, so a DF checkbox for allowing partial parties would probably be good as well. That way people can choose whether they want to risk this kind of setup, or wait for a full 24-man party at the expense of longer queue times.
