question about reddit ffxiv state of game

I want know how relyable is the sub commenity of reddit on state of ffxiv

state of game. i heard alot weird rumor coming coming for that reddit i first want know if any them are true or should the be ingore. there claim that ffxiv drop down 300k players which seem not as value as most claims

Short answer: It's Reddit, you take that with a shaker of salt, not a grain.

Longer answer: XIV has dropped a number of subs lately, that much is true; however, this is mostly due to the fact that we're in a content lull while waiting for an expansion. I would expect on the next couple weeks to see an up-tick in numbers as people come back to prep for it and likely by the 9th numbers will be up again. Reddit has a tendency to take any normal downward shift and turn it into, "The game is dying!!"
