    I need help with machinist!

I'm having the worst time trying to get all my stuff to line up. I understand that things proc from time to time and that there's a priority system. I always start with Hot Shot > Lead Shot > Split/Slug/Clean if they proc, but all the other abilities feel situational.

For example, I'm not sure how to load up wildfire to do as much damage as possible. And I'm not sure of the best times to use Gauss shot and Richochet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

im not a pro-mch myself, saying that im still in an intuitional rota not on a fix guided one. that being said, I think you should set your turret, dot and self buff before using wildfire... even loading your special ammo to V could be good. leaving your insta cast buff (dunno the eng name right now) until everything else is setted up. now here im struggling a bit too... I don't know if gauss and rich add value to wildfire as well, also I don't know if using all 3 different shots for wildfire is the way to go or if concentrating at the last 2, leaving the first one aside as long you got ammo for insta procs , will end in a higher dps overall... - that would be interesting for me as well.

never the less I feel this cls is a welcome variety for my main cls smn... with even some kind of "pet" <3

Hot Shot > Turrent > Lead Shot > Reload > WildFire > Slug Shot > Quck Reload > Reassemble > Clean Shot > Rapid Fire > Split Shot > Reload > Slug Shot

Pop your cooldowns before you start this combo.

This will work until some Machinist pro comes in and corrects me.

    Use Gauss round/Blank/head graze/Rico on CD, save B4B/HE/RS for WF;

my personal preference for WF is 2 ammo:
    Hawk Eye >Gauss Round > Hypercharge > Hot Shot > B4B + Raging > Lead Shot > QR > Split > Reload > WF > Slug > Reassemble > Clean > Ricochet > Rapid Fire > Split > Head Graze >Slug > Gauss Round > Split > Blank >Clean

There have been ton of different wildfire openers lately on very patch. You CAN follow one or make ur own rotation. i "kinda" pretty much made my own and took tips from people. its not as super pro mch would use. Who knows. It's kinda a common sense to figure out what skills to use and do the most dmg for ur first wildfire opener. the point is: never save any skills.

    Mine goes like this:
    V AMMO opener vs boss/raid
Reload (wait 40 sec) turrent always summoned > gauss barrel OFF > quelling strike> hawks eye > blood4blood > hot shot > raging strike > hyperharge > splitshot > gauss barrel ON > lead shot > Wildfire > slug shot > reasamble > quick reload > clean shot(crit) > ricochet and reload at the same time > rapidfire > split shot > slug shot > gauss round > split shot > head graze > blank > clean shot > slug shot > clean shot. Thats it.

As for dungeon i do II or III ammo opener. Kinda the same but u gotta fish out proc few time.

Whenever cd pop...never save them! Use gauss round often whenever its up.Blank, graze and ricochet and reasamble too. Make sure to refresh leadshot n hot shot always.
The next wildfire is being called for "mildfire" you want to save reload and rapidfire for that.
After the first wildfire you can pretty much survive with quick reload and procs.
You can take off gauss barrel and fish for procs and refresh ur hot shot. But always use gauss barrel for lead shot. Quick reload always on slug shot for clean shot.
    I can make an example:
(Wildfire done) GAUSS barell OFF > hot shot > split shot > split shot > (proc) slug shot > quick reload > (clean shot up but not used) > split shot > (oh another slug shot) > gauss barrel ON> clean shot > slug shot and hope for the proc clean shot.

Why taking off gauss barrel? Many reasons! If u gotta move etc. Auto attack still do dmg and can even do crit!

This is all you'll ever really need. Study it, breathe it, practice it.

Personally, here's how I'd explain MCH in a nutshell:
-use every oGCD, every time it becomes available, always. -unless wildfire is coming up in the next 5 seconds or something)
-Use every cooldown when they come up, except blood for blood, hold it for a few seconds so you can use it at the same time as hawk's eye.
-As long as you don't fail the two previous rules, you'll end up with an alternating cycle of big wildfire and smaller wildfire, aka mildfire.

If you don't adhere to these three rules, what you'll find is that your opener may be decent but you'll see your dps not sustain properly and drop off the longer and longer fights go on.
