Onion Knight Card and 2017

So according to my information. Only three ways to get. Beat Lewena - I have 125 cards total, pretty good deck combos, and can beat her fairly reliably, but have yet to see her drop a card. Mythral Booster Pack - Still trying to save up for Cloud Card...so not if I can help it. Farm WoD - 14 runs in two days (Cause the queue time is fucking disgusting) and no drop. Lots of Puff of Darkness Cards though.

Searching online, I see tons of 'ROFL I got it on first try when it came out. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL' posts, which kind of lead me to believe WoD was a seasonal thing? Or was nerfed stupid friggen hard? Or (Hopefully) just really bad luck?

I have the card from WoD from a few months ago I want to say... and I don't even do triple triad or know it was a hard to get card. I honestly don't pay that much attention to card drops so I can't tell you any more precisely. I know I see quite a few Cloud of Darkness cards in there too, since I sell them for mgp pretty regularly.

I ran factual continuum about 30+ times, still haven gotten the card. RNG is RNG

Oh I know about RNG, and as much as I don't like it for a raid that no one ever queues for (Just hit the 221 minute mark!), I accept RNG in my life as well. This is more of a 'am I still sane' post. Cause while googling it, I see posts and dates that seem to suggest that Onion Knight was dropping like hot cakes, almost like guarenteed at that time (back around 2015ish), and can find no one that has posted having shit luck on it, where as, just as your post above, I can find cases abound where people have had a grueling time getting a particular card...but HAVE gotten it, and reported such.

It doesn't seem like something this game would do...taking a card out of a drop table randomly...but I'd still like to check to make sure. Just for peace of mind.

It does still drop from WoD. I've gotten it a couple times from there. I don't really play Triple Triad, I just like collecting the cards. Too bad the devs won't give us the option of trading cards. :x That would be cool to do.. because if I could have traded you one of the extras I've gotten, I would have!

For Crystal Tower, try queuing for it on Sundays. That seems to be the best time, since a lot of people do Crystal Tower Sunday. Second best time would probably be around weekly reset for those that still run it for the Aether Oils or for stuff to augment poetics gear (which is why I'm running it because gotta augment my casting set to be ready for RDM <3). Personally, I enjoy CT, and wish the queue times weren't so horrendous throughout the week. :x

On my first character, I recall getting the Onion Knight card my first or second World of Darkness run. That was when Triple Triad was brand new, and I know that drop rates have fluctuated over time. On my second character (early 2016), it took me a good dozen runs. Now on my fourth character, I ran it three times and didn't get it yet. Not that I expected to per se.

I definitely gave up on opening mithril packs, as all three really rare cards from it *all* can also be obtained from Lewena. As such, I think it's a waste of money. Now, Lewena really sucks to play against, but she isn't nearly as bad as she used to be, so my advice is basically "Keep at it until it drops". That's what I'm doing.

Got guys. Mostly posting this just to state that it does still drop in WoD for any future souls that have the misfortune of grinding this raid for it.

Had that card for a good while now and I'd be lying if I said I had any inkling as to how I got it. Mostly like one of the two WoD's I did (also have the Puff of Darkness from there - maybe it was a really lucky day). Having said that, I never play T-T (though I do make a point of trying to beat the NPC's whenever I pass them by) and the majority of NPC's I've yet to play/win cards from usually only activate at certain times (eg. I've only seen the Iddylshire lady T-T open once in all my time AFK'ing there), aint nobody got time to research that.

I'd say you're better off with playing triad. If you're reliably beating her it's a great mgp farm and any of the other two dissidia card drops can liquidate into further profits.
