I have kinda given up on the game. Not many people on in the past few weeks, no one to grind with it seems. This was my first MMO. I had hopes. I think I will start playing console games again and see how this game fares a year from now.

Fair enough. Check into the Lodestone every once in a while to see what changes are occurring to see if its anything you want to come back for. Could wait a few updates, pay for just a month's subscription and bang out all the content quickly. Or see if there's enough to suck you back in.

Skyrim is awesome, i chuckled at the comment about "if you don't look past the problems, it isn't a good game"... That could be said for a lot titles, especially FF14. AS for my time in FF14 it is pretty wavering atm, i have had my fill of SE delays/carrots on a stick for now. Perhaps once 2.0 hits i will be back. I really i hope i don't hear any more please be patient type comments. It has been over a year, that retort doesn't fly.

I hate the fact that all old players care about is the dungeons and that's why we're not getting any variety in the content.

Remember how in XI people weren't even talking about "raids" and a lot of the content was just as valuable for different reasons. (not chocobo racing though that thing blows in every FF game where they think full speed or standing position equals racing controls).

Raids are doable only in few servers at the moment and most importantly the whole game feels dead if you're not in that one spot where people are grinding this dungeon.

Now that I think about it that just sounds like abyssea...

it's not all the older players think about. it's all the old players have left to do. my server is dead and all i have been doing is going around and gathering mats in hopes they will come back after the patch. the problem is they will come in for a few weeks then leave again as soon as moogle is completed.
