I can imagine that if anyone got on late after the Company special event was over.
Only good way to gain enough company seals fast is by doing & winning the Darkhold dungeon.

The company quest rewards, such as amount of seals really sucks.

By the time early Jan comes, are people going to still be around? This content might not hold people until 1.21, I know the moogle fight alone isn't going to even come close to holding people over.

thats a good question lol. I guess you might see an uprise in the next patch, most people i think will be over the 1.20 patch before billing starts and im sure they wont want to pay to sit around.

I on Wutai. Haven't logged in that much because of finals and stuff. But I'm thinking of making another character in a different server. I mean, yeah we got people but most of the time it feels empty. And by the looks of it, it's not getting any better.

I really hope that SE considers a server merge and limiting the number of servers until 2.0

Not reading every post here. Just simply responding to the OP. Finals are a big population dwindler. It was like that even in FFXI, which had an overall steady population for the 6 years I played.

Also, whether people would like to admit it or not (fanboys included, which I will admit, I am one), the Ifrit fight was a disappointment. If you compare it to how fun even the Darkhold was, Ifrit wasn't all that great. It came with to many frustrations, and too many problems to be considered great.

A lot of people, myself included, probably defeated Ifrit 5-10 times or so, got no drops, then did not see any incentive to get on. Because, if you do get on to do something like Ifrit, it's going to be a few more hours of no drops, a longer wait time than the fight it self takes, server lag issues that hinder the overall fun and excitement of the battle, etc.

When I think about Darkhold, I was enthusiastic about that dungeon. I didn't mind doing the fight 10 times a day 3+ times a week. Speed runs were always exciting. Chests throughout the dungeon were awesome. There was just more to it, when it comes down to it. And of course, it wasn't something that causes you to sit around waiting more than you're actually adventuring inside the dungeon. It was 20-25 minutes of dungeon, 5 minute wait, repeat.

I love this game, and I will pay for it. But I guess what I'm getting at is, like most people, I'm just not interested in the game as it is right now. 1.20 might change it for a while, but that'll probably be mostly to kill the good moogle a few times, and relearn our classes. It's fine, I know a patch like 1.20 is needed. So for myself, and more than likely a majority of final fantasy fanatics, patch 1.21 is the patch we're all waiting for. It's the patch we've been waiting for since 6+ months ago. It's what will bring us back in to this game.

lol i remember they being up to 50k on my server a few times.

Yesterday i saw someone shouting "Power leveling service" for X amount of gil for 1 level gain i think.
Not bad i guess since there isnt much else to spend ones gil on, then again thats not how i imagine leveling.

also a little fallout NV ...beat it but now will beat it few times differently then kill everything moving in every city since i beat it on kind mode.

Wutai server...havent logged in for a few days, and now...
Half the server population like last week is gone.

I dont blame anyone for leaving / taking breaks because i've been
bored of this game for a few weeks now.

Nothing new happening & it's the same old grind going on.

Same thing happend last patch, alot of people around patch day,
then few days after... hardly anyone around.

I'll doubt i'll be sticking around for much longer, not even for
a Gobbue... w/e mount or even Moogle weapons.
(I still havent gotten any ifrit drops...btw thanks SE for nothing)

I just like to say... SquareEnix...you are doing something very wrong and
i wish i could tell you what but i just dont know what it is.

It feels like you really are pushing the limits, the limits on how long
people can wait and stick around for something new to come along.

Whats worse...its December 8th, no Christmas event, no Snow weather in-game (or even in RL).
Very..very dissapointed.

Im sure the Dev Team is working hard, but will it be worth it?
Maybe you should re-think some plans.

Now... feel free to flame me for pointing out my opinion gameplay feedback.

And finally, who are YOU to judge and define if i have a real Life or Not?

You dont even know me personally unlike some of my fellow players on my server.

I suggest you direct that "Has no life" comment to the actual
players with "All Classes at 50" at this point.

Oooh ooh and btw... unlike many others around here im not a guy with need for epeen.
Infact...im missing that 3rd leg that some of you got.

Finally, you say peopl have a life oustide the game....
