The first goal of the MNK: keep the ability always up and get the reflex to unleash a big attack when you know you'll lose it... How can you say it's a bad thing? bad tanks make playing boring DPS jobs a problem. unfortunately, bad tanks are a symptom - not the cause, as some of you so proficiently manage to misinterpret in frustation at the thought that ranged dps could be less responsible and more forgiving than melee DPS.

if it is not the job design's fault that you lose a trick attack to dance dance revolution, then I'd have to say dragoons never would have been changed. there was clearly a huge issue with the job that was making it unfun to play and it saw many adjustments because of it. a few positional requirements for de/buffs were removed, magic defense was increased and the animation of jump attacks was shortened(?) I believe. There is probably more, but this is what I have noticed.

next you're going to tell me that the sky is blue, mac and cheese is good and you'd bang megan fox if you had the chance

Things in this game just disappear into thin air all the time leaving you without a moment to keep a big dps buff up and long enough to drop it even if you do maintain it. Then so much about dps in this game is just juggling buffs. it never ends and it's always the same for every class. you are set in a rigid rotation that does not deviate much from the second you hit a boss and until it's dead or you're dead.

put your dots up, 123123123123123, keep buff up etc. lather rinse repeat. I imagine this makes it easy for them to balance DPS classes because of homogenization but it's incredibly linear and predictable. I get bored with things like that really fast. Feels more like work than fun.

actually i was going to ask what they do when they hit something and the airbags deploy and all their glitter and dildos go flying everywhere

You got to the point in a very wrong way by saying it's ez&shit.
Even though you have the ability to expose your opinion just like you did right now.
well its like i said earlier if you enjoy playing a particular class someone finds especially mind numbing you shouldn't let what a few people think about it bother you so much

Dragoon does not seem as bad as it was when i first started playing in 2.0 but honestly i didn't expect to see changes. it is at least playable now. can't really bag on it too much anymore.

I highly suggest to at least check out how those play in a raid environnement in order to have a clear view on how they play
the problem with that is that things only get slower and even more boring during progression in this game

i doubt i will ever play a DPS class with real enthusiasm in this game outside of DF just because of how rigid and linear everything is

"I'm also not a fan of directional attacks so I'm finding it hard to enjoy DPS classes"
the last time i played dragoon you didnt get many of your buffs if the attack was not executed in the correct position. it was infuriating. not being able to get those buffs when you needed them was a much bigger DPS loss than losing potency from being out of position which is what you are being faced with now. Big difference.

Okay so I assume you have no clue about FF XIV raid. In my opinion, you're just some arrogant person who claims to know everything while clearly having no clue about what you are talking about. It's like talking to a little kid, who claims that the earth is flat.

And the way you're answering people... Man, you really need to calm down and try a least to read carefully what people say because you're not looking smart at all from here ...
