First and foremost I find your way of presenting things a bit, how to say it ... arrogant ?

It's your right to have an opinion but the least you could have done is to try those jobs at level 60 since most of them changed a lot. Dragoon has Blood of the dragon which makes the job feel really different and Monk got some great QoL skills that makes it a lot more enjoyable to play. Also ninja got aggro management skills and a few oGCDS, which indeed didn't change the core of the job.

I highly suggest to at least check out how those play in a raid environnement in order to have a clear view on how they play in the hands of good players. Claiming "this is bad and I don't like it" relying on outdated information won't get you anywhere.

Also, you can expect changes to those jobs in the upcoming expansion, we have little information as for now but we can expect more later this month.

This itself is pretty unreasonable. You really expect everyone to put in 10s of hours to level and gear up a job for raiding, and to find a group that's OK with "I'm just trying this out, I don't really like it but someone says I might like it in raid" before they can say they don't like a job?

To use earlier analogies... this is more than "never driven a camaro". This is "Shut up unless you're a 10 year veteran mechanic of camaros". PotD is the best pragmatically accessible preview of a job. And, you know, most games you don't need to experience peak endgame... which like the name says, is at the end of the game... to start having fun.

Kind of reminds me of that old FFXII defense. "It's fun once you're 20 hours in." Well, why should I play the first 20 hours then?

I think I didn't express myself clearly, of course I agree with your statement here, what I meant is that he should at least see how the jobs plays out when used at full potential and at max level, and I by "see" I mean litterally.

Wether a friend shows him or just watch videos, guides or whatever fits (the raid scenario was to ensure a minimum in player skill).

PotD really depends on the will of the player, I personnaly use it to learn the basics of a job at max level, but always with a guide at hand so I can use all my skills efficiently, but I'm under the impression that most people just want the xp and don't use this opportunity to actually learn the job properly, but that's another topic.

To continue with your camaro example, my point of view would be more like "Okay you've never driven a Camaro, how about you ask people who did and do regularly so you can have a good view on what it has to offer ?"
