Bard is extremely hard to play well. I understand there are tons of crappy/lazy bards and very few good ones, but bard is a job with a very low skill floor and a very high skill ceiling. It's not uncommon for me to find myself at the top of the DPS list paired with any other DPS because I know bard inside and out and can maximize its damage. Bard may have been weak prior to our Heavenward buff, but now we are one of the DPS with the highest potential with regards to out-going damage.

You say we're weak. My 12k Sidewinders disagree with you.
And I'm sure MCHs and their 18k or higher Wildfires do as well.

It's understandable you might have issues with jobs in this game, but I don't think you'll be satisfied with the new jobs. Looks like DPS jobs aren't for you, that's okay. I only enjoy SMN personally for my own reasons, not big on the rest (still need to play with MCH)

So you're probably better off staying as Warrior, or maybe the way they do the tanks may have you switching to another one. Good Luck Warrior of Light!

Bard sir Bard. Plenty of DPS and great skill rotations if played right. Only thing I ever wished for on Bard was an ability to stun MOBS or push them back (LOTRO stuff) but otherwise I tried all other DPS and for me Bard is the one and my main Char. Stop complaining and level them up and get the full spectrum of abilities and skills then post this kind of ridiculous post.

I also have issues with every dps job in this game (picked bard because it bugged me the least), but that is just because I dislike the overall combat system. It won't change. If I get too bothered by it, I'll go back to an action-combat mmo. OR go to a forum like this and start a combative thread. >_>

I'm with the OP here. Throughout all of HW I struggled to find a class I wanted to play, because they become so homogenized and if you didn't like 1 mechanic of how a class played, too bad it was on most of them now.

When I went back to XI some time ago I massively struggled to figure out what to play because everything seemed so fun. When I came back to XIV I struggled to figure out what I wanted to play because everything seemed so the same with mechanics that just didn't flow well in combat and made it annoying to play.
