Where to get a better bard bow?

OK so I think I've been playing for about 3 months now... Only get to really put time in on the weekend. I just turned lvl 53 last night and finished the ultima weapon quest as well. All my gear is pretty decent right now cause I did the job quest that gave me all the blue gear. All I need now is a better bow... Can't remember which I have now but I know I've had it for about 7 to 10lvls. I read about getting the Artemis bow but I heard u definitely need some peeps to run it with and I don't really know anyone and my FC hardly anyone is ever on.

Now the main thing with that is should I even be going through all that with the exp coming out soon? Is there a bow that will do me good till new content? Just not sure where to get one or how I should do it. I haven't started any kind of side jobs either like crafting or leather working or anything like that either. Just any help would be great. And I hate seeing these other threads about bards not doing much dps lol.. Not much hope.

You'll want to keep going through the story. You'll get better gear and weapons as you go along. As you do the 50 dungeons you'll get what are called Allagan Tomestones of Poetics. If you get 1400 of these you can trade them In for tokens and an encrypted tomestone which you then trade in for an ilvl 120 ironworks bow that will see you halfway through Heavensward. Conversely you can also buy lvl 52 gear on the marketboard. This gear Is sold by vendors in Heavensward, but if you're not that far yet you'll only be able to get it through the MB. You'll also want to look up how to unlock all lvl 50 dungeons, you'll get tons of bonus Poetics for being new which will help you get into way better gear than that old i90 stuff. Also, don't bother with the old A Realm Reborn relic, it's not worth the grind, since the current end game is in Heavensward, those relics are nothing more than glamour items now. Happy hunting ^^

OK that's cool then... And yeah there is still alot I have to learn on the game lol. I did start getting some of those tomestones last night though... Maybe like 300. But yeah I guess I'll do lvl 50 dungeons in between the story quests and go from there... I just didn't know if the bow was holding me back enough to make all these quests and stuff more difficult.

You'll get an ilvl 90 and ilvl 110 bow by doing the lvl 50 story quests so don't worry too much about it

If you have any serious gaps in your gear you can buy 115 gear from a few vendors in foundation. And you'll slowly gear up through dungeons as you continue to level. Beyond that, you shouldn't really worry about gear until you hit level cap. If you are able to cap before Stormblood and have time to gear up at 60 you'll want to look for something that's ilvl 260 or better. And then prioritize crit over skill speed over determination.

But really, you've got time to go through and learn bard and enjoy content. So I wouldn't be in a rush to really have the best possible bow. The only time that's really necessary is when you're running endgame 8 man content.
