The ears appear to be intentionally cropped out of the picture. The tail kinda looks different than what we have available but could just be the art style.

I think a lot of people are speculating about the person sitting in the middle frame whose tail is short and stubby. (I'm not sure if I just view it as the tail is just falling off the back side of the table though?) I think the female to the left is most definitely a Miqo'te purely based upon the flourished tail and the "Seeker of the Moon" markings on her face. Though some could imply she is actually pointing at the person in the middle frame sitting on the table.

Some people are speculating about the map too as to whether or not it's a new mini-game, etc. Or it's just simply that the image is just illustrating a meeting with a squadron. :shrug:

What would be nice would be a third clan for each race as a surprise. We know Gosetsu is a third Roe clan, Yoshida said as much. And it could be argued that the way the Garleans have the third eye and their build seems to be a balance between a highlander and a midlander that they are the third human clan.

Maybe add in these continental variations as NPCs and add them to the CC during the progress of 4.X. I will never change my Highlander, but it would be fun to see "new faces" and would open up to a forth later on if we say go to the New World later.

There are never any Highlanders in any of these art. Frankly it's insulting since we're the hottest race. At least there are no Elezens in that image.
