    Audio Crackling/Popping On PS4 Pro

I am writing because I have been experiencing an audio problem with FF14. It seems to have started after the last patch and has never happened previous to it. What happens is the audio in my game is constantly making a crackle or pop noise. It does it every few seconds it seems like and has become quite a nuisance. There have even been a few times that all audio has just stopped briefly then come back on. I was concerned that it may have been my sound bar or audio cables so I tried a few things out.
-I connected the PS4 to the audio source in multiple ways, through HDMI & through digital both still produced the popping sound.
-I ran the audio directly to the TV instead of the sound bar and the popping sound was even more noticeable.
-I tried Final Fantasy 15, the ps4 netflix app, and audio cd's in all the different connections I listed and no crackling/popping sound was produced.

This seems to only be occurring with FF14 and as I had mentioned seems to have started with the last patch. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

I had that with generic HDMI cables, I switched to Monster cables. Never had a problem since.

Problem is though it does it even if I send the audio through HDMI to the sound bar or TV and it does it if I use optical (digital) connection directly from the PS4 to the sound bar, so the audio isn't even going through HDMI. And both HDMI & Digital connections do not have the sound popping when I'm playing FF15 or watching netflix/listening to music cd's through the PS4.

right but depending on your connection it may be some kind of feedback from the modem that you're hearing I'm no expert so i can't really say for sure, but the game does use more bandwith than netflix and ff 15

If that happens, normally could be do to a setting in the game, wifi interference, or land line filter might be needed. Direct media, like FFXV wouldn't be affected if already per-installed or your using a disc.Try changing the sound options with in the game and see if you still get same issue.

Thank you for your suggestion about the modem!
I think the problem may have been solved
The speakers, tv & modem were all on the same ungrounded plug.
I moved the modem to a different room where a grounded plug is available and hooked it up that way.
After doing that I no longer notice the crackling sound on my speakers. They seem to sound better in general as well. I'll keep testing it but as of right now it seems that the problem has stopped.
    Thanks so much!
