Gotta agree, the UI is great, but in the middle of a party I dont want to have to stop and go through menus. I want to type in out in 3 sec and keep on fightin.

texts commands yes, please.
Square Enix fails again. They should have implemented text commands before they even considered a UI.
Do they even learn from the previous game at all?
Why for the love of the 12 did they show DoL and DoH job levels in the player search. Where is my /anon command? I bet they never even considered that.
I really hope they show where linkshell members are and what level job they are on in the linkshell list.
I don't see much of a need for the anon command. I mean, its not like on XI where you actually waited up for a raise. Worst case scenario since its easy mode here you just return, warp, chocobo, nothing lost.
I think some of you are missing the point...
It might look like a lot of convoluted menus again at first, but the difference is, like a previous poster already noted, the defaults are set to "All", so you really don't even have to change those, it's just like doing a "/sea all" search in XI.
In addition, players will be able to set their status as Seeking Party, so really, all you have to search for is players who are seeking, and the level range, which is exactly what we did in XI. So really, stop complaining that it's too complicated, because it's not.
Now, the next step would be text commands, but really, this is a very good starting point.
It's not complaining, it's constructive criticism.
They should have done the command lines first because, logically one would think that it would have been easier to implement than developing a UI.
The UI is insufficient to use for /sea all because it will not give you a count of how many people are online.
The "Seeking Party" also fails because it only allows you to seek on one job. They indicate that there will be a /seacom. I guess that will remain to be seen how they implement that.
The /anon would be very useful to players who have crafting jobs levelled and do not want to be inundated with requests to craft or materia gear for people. Maybe they don't want to be asked to use their 50 CNJ in a party. It would be nice to be able to hide that information. Just MHO.
I still think implementing the text lines on 1.20 should be doable. I mean, the interface is done, which is a lot more complex. The filters are all are already coded. They just need to assign them to text lines...
Whats that like a day's work?

Excellent suggestion! I used the text commands all the time in ffxi.
Can other players not have the ability to see my jobs, please?
When class reform is implemented, and jobs are available, I never want to be a healer again. Red Wizard only.
If someone sees that I have 50 conjurer, you know they will ask me to heal... I can tell them no, but you know how that works. /boot
I noticed that the function shows your language.
If a person speaks multiple languages, can this be set to display those, or is it just locked to the client's language setting?
