See, I don't understand this. It's like being asked to race somewhere in a set time and someone brings a speedometer, and therefore notices concretely, provably, what everyone else already noticed — that few people are going to make it in the time given. Why should that guy be thrown out of the race for that? It's not self-glorifying. It's just bringing an obvious tool for the job. And unless we've always been silently content not to make it, it actually reduces points of contention, so long as the speed is still compared to the length and windows given. If you dislike it so much, you know what to do. Honestly I'm sick and tired of the constant complaining by some about the standard of other players. We get it already, everyone else is trash and you're the most glorious player of all time...do you need to say it so often in order to believe it yourself?
Roger that. Letting the next post, if any, die.

We've already derailed the thread enough. My post started it, let it end here. My bad.See, I don't understand this. There are things that I'm happy with and others not. Most of the things I'm not happy with are things that initially appeared to have greater potential but were left stagnant. These include:
-Further GC integration. MSQ uses GC for its purpose but once that's done, there's not much you can do with it. While I'm aware that squadrons will play a larger role, I was also hoping to hear if you get a greater GC role than just ranking up via completing a dgn you done before. I would have liked to see further world building around the GC of your choice outside of msq.
-Fates. Fates went by the wayside mostly post PotD nerf. Outside of relic weapons, it has very little to offer to capped players. This needs to change.
-A couple of Gold Saucer features that need more relations outside of it and changes. Why is Chocobo Flying race is not a thing? Why can't we still trade cards with one another?
-Open World Bosses should've have been one of the more attractive things about FF14. There are so many bosses in the FF lores to use, I'm surprised its not a thing.
And then, there's the QoL in mass demand stuff like glamour book/organizational inventory space that should've been tacked on with SB that's not coming.
Personally, I plan to sub for about 3 months in SB, which I feel like it'll be plenty of time to complete its msq and new raids but if I don't hear any incoming news from the devs that proper QoL stuff will get added in the game, my future subs will be based on whims.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

This, exactly. I tend to see most of such issues as a lack of foresight or clarity of vision back in the original mechanical and undermechanical development, but others may be worse still — temporary attempts to placate that never had any place in later plans or intended path of development in the first place... Hopefully some of those you listed though, will see gradual improvements to make them feel as fleshed out as they deserve; until then they feel sadly makeshift. Most of the things I'm not happy with are things that initially appeared to have greater potential but were left stagnant.
