I'm wondering if you can use the auto-translator when you're writing your comment. The current search feature does not allow this so it's hard to let people in other regions know what you're looking for.

Agreed. I hope they allow Auto-Translator to function in the Comments Section, which would help a lot with bringing players of different languages together for Party Search (we do that now with /shouts in town).

Yeah its not bad, but its still imo very clunky, so many menus and options, all good but requires you to fill in 40 different options before you can seek. XI was just Menu > Seek and bam ur good to go lol.

Yeah, but most ppl are crafting while seeking a party so they cant just put up a party flag. I don't think anyone wants a lvl 50 Carpenter in their exp party lol.

lol but i guess you are all right, if its just Party > Set online > Accept i be fine with it. Just seems like a lot of options, especially to search too, XI was but at least you had text commends, here you dont so you have to fill out the form to get results.

Have to see if people use it this time.

So glad we're finally getting this! And absolutely dig your idea Emraldilian. A "Seeking Work" status is very much needed!

they just need a "seeking work" or something for gatherers and crafters that want to get some money without relying on the wards

Good Idea

Some more things i could think of:

Seeking item - for ppl looking to buy a certain item.

Seeking repair - for ppl seeking a crafter to repair a piece of gear.

Seeking craft - for ppl seeking a crafter to craft an item for them.

* In patch 1.20, online statuses will only be displayed on the player search screen, but as of FINAL FANTASY XIV version 2.0, online statuses will also be displayed in players’ display names.

I'm excited for the search function, and as I quoted above I'm glad this is planned, however, it would be nice that if a player is seeking a party that green icon would show up above their head. I always enjoyed that and it made pick up groups much faster.

Just the ideas of running a leve and seeing someone else running a leve with a seeking party flag set, with how I play, would have me form a party with that player, rather then leave them alone as I don't want to "bother" them.

Another thing I hope to see in the future is the ability to set multiple preferred jobs, unless they are going to let you do that already and i missed it. It'd be nice to show ppl I want to lvl CNJ lvl41, PUG lvl31, or THM lvl 20, not just CNJ lvl41. I could just put that in the comments, but then ppl wouldn't be able to see it unless they clicked on my name.

So the lvl20ish ppl looking for a THM won't even be able to see me on default settings.

I really don't care what class I am, I just wanna lvl .

That system looks awesome! The only other thing i could ask for is a way to seek party on my 38 GLD while I'm mining on my 25 MNR or crafting. So I could do something productive while waiting for an invite.

You can actually, it lets you set your preferred job to whatever you want, so you can be a miner and be looking for a party as a gladiator.
