    Relics are just for people who enjoy playing the game a lot.

    Either I don't play the game, but if I do then I do kill groups of every kind, until recently farmed some savage gear, run roulettes with friends just to let some time pass when there is nothing of interest in pf, run frontlines occasionally and well, if a S-Ranks pops I usually get to it quick enough.

    Levelling all my classes gave me idk 300(?) tokens of vanu/gnath each, so idc about those either.

    And yes, Alexandrite step and dungeon drops were way worse than any single step of HWs relic.
    What would people say regarding umbrites if you have an increasing chance depending on how high a specific stat is that you fail with upgrading and lose the sand.

    Like: To get crit from 99 to 120 (without bonus) do 7 upgrades with each 40% chance to fail.

    I rather have increased costs and time needed than all those rng stuff in ARR. Also light farming wasn't anyway mpre interesting back then, too. Coils even didnt give any light at all, if I remember right, so ex primal farm. Wow.

    That's incorrect reverse-logic. If PArcher said "Don't do it then? It's not gonna get easier to get the weapons done." Except they did infact nerf both Anima and Alexander, so your logic is kinda flawed.

    In any case, PArcher is right, as are you (at least the gist of your post), both Anima and raids are optional and you don't need to do them. Nerfing them is another subject since both of them are nerfed or receiving nerfs anyways.

    The only things that got removed was defeating 900 enemies, everything else we still had in the Anima.

    2.0 Relic -> 5x trials i80, Zenith (900x tomestones) i90, Atma i100, Animus (Books: FATEs, dungeons, 900 enemies), Novus melds i110, light farming i115, dungeon Atma i130, light farming again i135.
    3.0 Anima -> FATEs i170, Dungeons i200, Unidentified farming and crafts i210, Hyperconductive (x5 Oils) i230, "of the" Anima (umbrite + sand phase) i240, sharpened (x50 clusters) i260, complete Anima (light farming) i270, (trials) Lux i275.

    They didn't really get rid of any part of 2.0's relic. We had materia melding but without a Gil sink with the i240 step. We had tomestone grinds every step. We had to go to certain instances on the i200 and i275 steps. Light farming at i270. Crafts at i210, they also needed to be HQ. FATEs at i170 to actually make the Anima weapon base itself.

    Were these also met with glee? Perhaps not, but it honestly doesn't matter, because these weapons won't be any easier come 5.0 or 6.0, 4.1 will probably bring the last changes but that's it. Only way they're getting easier is through natural gearing as the game progresses along with being able to unsync duties.

    i have said it many times and ill say it again:

    The anima weapon is not a grind until you turn it into a grind.
    If youre burned out from this, then thats your fault for turning it into a grind.

    most of the steps can be worked at simultaneously just by doing daily roulettes (exp/60/50/lvling/trial).

    until today,the most annoying step for me is to run all these dungeons to get from il170 to 200....cos I actually need to go out of my way to do that.

    I personally had no issues with the relic for the most part.

    My main issues were only two things:
    a) Light Grind
    b) Crafter involvement

    The first is meh because doing it any other way than A1S grinding is, uh... painful. More painful than tomes ever were, since you can't even shake things up by playing a different job, which also means you gotta deal with DPS queue times instead of hopping on your tank for that sweet instant queue. It also sucks that PotD, Feast and several other contents don't progress the light at all. Neither does 50s content, which also reduces variety. Because of that, it's the only step that really felt like a grind to me.

    The second is a recurring annoyance: You either know an endgame crafter or you gotta pay scalping prices. In the future, alternative DoW/DoM means to acquire the items would be appreciated.

    I were into anima before, then dismissed it, then a friend involved me in the 2.0 version, and after a while, then it again came to more or less grind all time to get this or that, dismissed it again. I now swear, no more Anima for me.

    I'll be happy with alternative weapons and will not be concerned anymore about 5 IL less, when it comes to compare i3000 vs i2995. I leave it to the pro gamers, and kudos to who completes it.

    I've given up on Anima i was gonna start working on the 3rd one for monk but i'm not in the mood to grind any of the dungeons because i hate all of them now. I wish there was other ways to get Tomestones with out grinding dungeons.

    You can do PVP, POTD, Diadem, even maps if you're really patient. I can't stand grinding dungeons either so I just... didn't. Got my umbrites done at the original cost without doing a single dungeon roulette; it wasn't exactly fast but at least it wasn't tedious. Working on my second now for glamour.

    This was no different then how horrid Atma was when it first came out.
    Just think of the glam you will have once complete
