Relics are just for people who enjoy playing the game a lot.
Either I don't play the game, but if I do then I do kill groups of every kind, until recently farmed some savage gear, run roulettes with friends just to let some time pass when there is nothing of interest in pf, run frontlines occasionally and well, if a S-Ranks pops I usually get to it quick enough.
Levelling all my classes gave me idk 300(?) tokens of vanu/gnath each, so idc about those either.

And yes, Alexandrite step and dungeon drops were way worse than any single step of HWs relic.
What would people say regarding umbrites if you have an increasing chance depending on how high a specific stat is that you fail with upgrading and lose the sand.
Like: To get crit from 99 to 120 (without bonus) do 7 upgrades with each 40% chance to fail.
I rather have increased costs and time needed than all those rng stuff in ARR. Also light farming wasn't anyway mpre interesting back then, too. Coils even didnt give any light at all, if I remember right, so ex primal farm. Wow.
