You kinda prove the point behind the joke.
It used to be Ninja Looters were at the bottom of the barrel when it came to jerk players even below RMT sellers. Now you all go apespit over someone linking numbers.
My advice on your issue OP:
-Accept and make peace that people, even when given a request, will not hand you your item.
-Since you can't change the system, you can only stack the odds in your favor by playing the class for the item.
-Accept and make peace that in said system, particularly 24man, you cannot efficiently gear yourself in comparison to guaranteed gearing like the tomestone system. Not only you have to compete with people but you also have to contend with the loot table. Imagine running DS 14 times for a particular casting gear, only for it to show four times, twice lost to need roll, once lost to greed roll. Ironically, I managed to snag it through a greed roll on the fourth time.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
There is literally no need to even gear a retainer, even if you're gearing it for 4.0, you'll end up replacing the 260 gear on the retainer with your 270 gear on you when you get those 4.0 drops. You've pretty much used the worst example for this situation.
It is appreciative that you have gone into these Dun Scaith letting the rest of the party know what you were after. Earlier I was preemptively collecting leveling gear in The Aery for Red Mage and Samurai. At one point I obtained an item that another party member was specifically wanting to obtain, but I didn't know until after the item had dropped into my inventory. It was something I needed, but I would have been willing to pass had I known in advance. Point is, when I see someone announce that they are specifically trying to obtain something I will most likely be willing to pass on that item. Not everyone will do that, but by kindly making your request known you will find players that are willing to set aside their own greed which should improve your chances of obtaining the items you desire.I'm kinda tired TRYING to gear myself through DS and ended up getting ninja looted by high ilevel geared monk (270) even when i asked and told i'm trying to gear my Monk for SAM and they simply ignored me now this puts me off from playing this game and really should add personal loot instead (class only gear) ...
You don't understand how retainers work, and that makes me sad
Not "it" I'm gearing "my retainers" plural
Uhh yeah... but that's in the future! I'm actually playing the game right now. So other than demonstrating your ability to state the obvious, what is your point?
If it weren't for the chance to get some 260 gear, I wouldn't have run DS twice today. I didn't get any drops, and neither did the 3 other BLMs I saw in full 270 gear, but by us being there we helped other players get their gears & clears. I didn't even bail after the 6th wipe, but what do I know I'm just playing the game EXACTLY THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED.

Moreover, you didn't even need to explain yourself because you are entitled to the gear (if you win the roll) for whatever purposes you deem fit. You can do whatever you like with your retainers, using whatever gear you won from any content in the game. If you want to gear them in i260 gear even though you have i270, that is your right.
Preach brother preach!!!They have every right to roll greed or need on it. If you need the gear, go as that class and roll need so that you're only competing with people of the same job as you. Would it be nice if they let a person undergeared have the drops? Sure. Is that expected or required of them or are you entitled to the drops? No. So queue up again on the job you want gear for and run the content until you get it. Making a post like this does nothing to help your gearing goals.

I ran into this this morning when I was trying to catch up on gear. Was running Void Ark. In one run, a caster lotted on a piece that wasn't an upgrade like it would have been for me. I lost the roll. Did it suck? Sure, but I didn't bother complaining about it. The Lore was still benefitting me.
I don't get the way of thinking of some people in this game.
I played several mmo and in everyone rolling need on something for selling/desynth/etc could have led you to get a ninja tag/ban.
Even today I had a proof of why some people think they're allowed to roll need even if they're bis, while instead other players(same job) would actually require it instead of grinding tokens/scripts.
Needed it by mistake ? Cool man, that can happen.
Needed it because you want the shiny glamour ? Right, not my cup of tea, but go ahead.
Needed it for an unknown reason you don't even know,or for something that COULD happen in the FUTURE ?Step back and reconsider your move.
If a lvl 270(sometimes mentors) rolls need on items he/she doesn't require and doesn't give an explanation, then I click on the blacklist button as it seems the only solution in this game.
The ninja loot-ban should be mandatory, but if SE seems fine with the anarchy spreaded through cross-servers parties then be my guest.
