    Bonus stat allocation....why?

    Since the devs are going as far as removing most of the reason to care about leveling other classes in Stormblood, maybe they should look at removing the bonus stat allocation as well? There's pretty much no reason NOT to just boost your main stat for the job you are playing.

    I mean, I guess you could boost an alt stat for soloing, but the usefulness is very limited.

    maybe some vit for salavge/pvp but ya it is a 1.0 relic.

    It fit 1.0 but does not really have a purpose now other then frustrating people that play sch and smn

    It's already been officially confirmed that they are going to / want to remove the bonus stat system at some point in Stormblood's cycle.

    I don't really get it either. The points, my opinion, are the epitome of illusion of choice because there's essentially one correct stat per job.


    Never mind how the numbers for other stats (such as spell speed) aren't exactly the most easily understood.

    What is the most reasons to play other jobs that get removed in Stormblood?


    And the only jobs that have problems with the bonus stats are Summoner and Scholar

    Like elemental resistances and set bonuses it was probably something the devs added very early in 2.0's creation before they knew that every piece of gear in the game was going to be bland uninspired shit that makes you question why you're bothering to chase upgrades at all.

    I disagree,

    I like it... but then again I also don't play SCH much other than in emergencies.

    I do like having those extra INT points, and I did distribute some of them into Piety. INT was primary, but once I discovered how much Ruin 3 took to cast at upper levels I did throw some in there as well. I realized in late game I needed the extra MP.

    Placing all bonus points into piety only nets you another 225 total mana, and mana regen tick will only return an additional 120mp per minute. This means you'll only get one additional ruin3 per 10 minute fight. Meanwhile, you've lowered your damage ouput by, what, 3%? This is what we mean by illusion of choice.
