Also, regarding the "verbatim" requirement for the serious category, the Warrior of Light doesn't talk much (or at all), in the in-game script. Does this mean "stick to the in-game script verbatim for the characters who actually speak, but add whatever you think your character might say to it"?

Pretty sure they're super strict on the Serious category to voice only what is said.

For serious entries following the script, some cutscenes have the Warrior of Light's name spoken. Do we just not speak it? Or use our own character name? Or a stand-in like 'Warrior of Light?'

Were technology advanced enough that anyone's character's name could be pronounced, I'm sure the XIV team would pounce on it in a heartbeat, so I would say go for it and say your name. Your own unique personality is usually the #1 thing an actual VA casting director is looking for anyway.
