Leve "allowances"

I have NEVER had this situation before and did heaps of leves with crafting and battle etc with other chars.
Now I have this rogue I am levelling and I do like two leves and it tells me I have reached my 'allowance' - sometimes it says 24 hours, sometimes 2 hour.

I am doing it in level 26 and the leve is for 25. I am getting rather sick of this. There are not really that many quests to do and I there is only one dungeon a day. So there is virtually no way for me to get any points in any way but running around and doing hunting quests or these 2 leves they ALLOW me.

That will take me forever to get to level 30 to get the Ninja which I aim for

But the game is really making me angry now, It is hard to get the scheduled groups takes forever (with my high chars) and with this new char I am suddenly living a "dictatorship".

I think actually it is a bug or a new thing one of the producers (whilst bored) came up with! maybe dad did not give him his pocket money this week!

The community seem to prefer using Palace of the Dead for leveling now which gives fast gains and doesn't have composition req for the queue so you don't need to wait long for tank/heal to join party like you would with regular dungeons. Unlock it from New Gridania from Lv17 and up.

Sidebar: would be nice if levequests could regenerate the allowance faster or have no allowance any more, just uncap. Would only need to adjust the exp gains from DoH leves if it was uncapped. The battle ones still wouldn't be competitive with other exp methods if you could do unlimited.

You won't do dungeon runs because it "takes forever" to wait for queue to pop.
You instead want to be able to do more battle leves, which are widely known for poor exp rewards.

One way or another you're wasting time there, and probably wasting more of it on leves. You could be in and out of a dungeon long before the leves get you an equivalent amount of experience.

It's working as intended. Levequests were a V1.0 and extremely abused through a technique that the botters took advantage of. But the allowance predated even that as it was in the V1.0 Beta too.

Essentially you were not supposed to use levequests-only. The original V1.0 of the game also has a character level and penalties for not resting. Mainly the point of levequests now are just to get crafting materials. If you pay attention to V1.0 opening you'll note the original intent was more like what the "marks" are now. But I suppose someone noted that they could not have 1000 players chasing the same mobs, so this levequest "monster field pseudo-instance" ensured that people could actually do the quests instead of just spamming field monsters for experience.

How are leves not working as intended? You ran out of leve allowances, which have been part of the game since forever, and now you're no longer able to pick up leves. Seems to be working as intended to me. You get 3 leve allowances every 12 hours.

So level through the Palace of the Dead, then? It's good exp and has short queue times.

Quite frankly Protea you sound like a very angry person.

What class are you trying to play? I see you have a THM at lvl52, so go unlock Palace of the Dead. Queues do not take "forever" to do, they take less than 5 minutes at even 4am on a weekday in the US. At level 25 there are like 4 different dungeons you can, otherwise you can grind fates, do quests, do leves as you have allowances for.


I have no idea what you mean by little people and mixing with big people, but I'm assuming it's your attempt at some petty insult. BTW, nobody is "normal", and that has zero relevance anyways to leves. You get an allowance every 12 hours. Let that refill. You have plenty of options on how to level, so stop getting angry because the only one you want to do has limitations.

At level 25 there are not only one but five dungeons available to you:
Sastasha
Tam-Tara Deepcroft
Copperbell Mines
Halatali
Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak

While the leveling roulette only gives an extra bonus once per day there is nothing stopping you from running dungeons without using the roulette.
Running the highest-level dungeon available to you should give decent XP even without roulette bonus.

There are also FATEs and Palace of the Dead as other options for leveling. In short there is plenty of CHOICE.

Everything else wrong was already covered, so I'll point this out: If you're so bent on doing leves because you have so little time to play, why not just take a few days off altogether, let those allowances build up? I literally never had a problem running out of allowances because I spent many long periods not doing any of them.
