    Quest bug or my stupidity?

    Stuck on the main scenario quest "Brave New Companions" and have search everywhere as to why the quest is not appearing at the npc Slafborn. The quest is appearing on the map and I have search as to why I cannot pick it up, but am stumped on the reason. Does anybody have a clue??

    I had this happen to me as well.

    I was not able to pick up this quest until I dropped the quest "Magitechnical Difficulties" from my log. Since he was offering to send me into Cid's workshop, the story quest was not showing up.

    Does the person you are trying to talk to have a quest marker above his head?

    If so and you can't accept, do you have a lot of quests unlocked? You may need to abandon one if you do.
