Approximate file size for Stormblood

Hi,

I know this is a bit early but it would be useful to know what the approximate download size for the Stormblood expansion is going to be. The Systems Requirements says it requires a hard drive size of 60GB or larger but I assume this is including the current ~30GB file size for Heavensward.

I am on a metered network with a data cap so knowing the approximate file size would let me plan for the update that is coming soon.

If someone from SE can comment on it, or if this has been addressed previously and someone can link it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Heavensward was ~8.3gb total download size. I would imagine SB to be about the same.

There hasn't been anything official said about the total download size, so all you'll be able to get right up until launch day is guesses from players.

I thought Stormblood is a much more major update compared to Heavensward though. The Stormblood maps are meant to be as big as ARR + Heavensward combined. Added to that, they are overhauling the skills and by the looks of it, the skills will have different CG effects. All that makes me think the size of the update would be a lot bigger than Heavensward.

The maps are the same size as HW, not ARR + HW combined.

Thanks for the clarification! I thought the maps were as big as the combined ARR + HW, the extra 30GB space required seems to imply that lol.
So it seems like it might be around the size of HW, it would still be nice to know what the approximate size is to plan for it. This is a major update after all

I'd say 15gb is more than enough for 4.0 + Stormblood update.
