Triple Triad "plus rule", is it bugged or do i just not know it works :S

Im playing vs King Elmer III. When you use the plus to win, you put down 5 right on top, to the right off it is a 4, that has 3 bottom to godberts 6 top. That makes it 5+4=9 and 3+6=9 so it flips them. But this does apparently not work if he puts godbert at bottom.

You put down Dodo on the right bottom corner. That makes it have a 4 on his left side. King elmer puts down Godbert to the left off Dodo and since it has 6 it wins over 4 so he flips my card. I then put down Bomb on Godberts left side. It has a 4 on it's right. So It makes it a 10 on godberts left with godbert + bomb and makes it a 10 with godberts 6 and dodos 4. But for some reason it doesn't flip godbert and dodo to my side. Is there a rule within plus im missing? Because as far as i know, aslong as both sides of godbert or whatever card it is, is the same value when you plus them together, it should flip all those cards aswell.

I can add a picture if someone tells me how because i havn't figured that out. Thanks.

The card you put down has to have 2 sides that add up to the same. I.e. if there is no card above yours, which is the way it seems from your post, you cannot plus. The card you are trying to take doesn't matter on any side except the one you're playing on. So, if you have Godbert with a 6 on the right of your card, and your dodo has a 4 on that side, you need to have a card either above your Dodo or to the left (above in this case), that also adds to 10. If I misread your post, sorry, and I'll try to be more helpful.

I wish I could explain it well, but alas, I cannot. Therefore, this link is the best I can provide.

Innocence doesn't mean an absence of wickedness, nor is it represented by the absence of anger or hatred. Innocence is when seeing others hurt also hurts you. When one becomes blind to the people suffering in the world, that is what it means to have lost one's innocence.

Heres a picture of what i mean. I put down the bomb when Godbert and Dodo was already down. That makes it 4+6 on one side and 4+6 on the other resulting on 10 and 10. But it doesn't flip them. It's the same value when added.

The game only calculates pluses(or sames if you have the same rule in place as they work the same way) for the card you are currently playing. So the newly played card has to be touching opposing cards(it wont look for combos on your own cards) on 2+ sides that meet the plus requirement. Then once the plus card flip happens, you can potentially combo off the rest of the board if the numbers are lined up right. In the picture you provided, had the computer played the titan card one spot further down then you would have activated the plus as 7/3 and 6/4 are both 10s.

Oh so in order for plus to work it has to be put down inbetween the 2 cards. So if the enemy had put down Dodo and Bomb and i would put down godbert, it would combo them both cuz then it makes 10. I see now. Thanks for the answere.
