Here's my personal opinion, please keep in mind that this does not or might not reflect the mindset of the majority or/and average player.
It's no secret that I love your guides, at least they are guides people actually can learn something out off. It's not a collection of youtube videos, that repeats the same ol boring perspectives someone picked up somewhere, and don't even know why they are doing it lol.
However, and while I personally loved it a lot, it reminded me a bit of these childhood science series. You know the ones you watched as you were 5 years old, were they explain how the sun works etc. but you have to be very nerdy to sit through a whole session as kid and even as an adult.
You throwing out all these numbers at the start (while it's part of the explanation, I do understand that) could overwhelm new players, since it's very technical if that makes any sense. The graphic on the other hand, that says "dot fall off? refresh or reapply" was much more something I could see newer players getting used too. Again I am aware you can't do a whole video based on that, and after all you are explaining why we use skills the way we do, making it easier for newer players to get an understanding of their skills/abilities or even able to apply it to other jobs in the future.
I also have no idea how you could "lighten" that up a bit, since you don't want to sound like a stand up comedian. But maybe with others people input we could make some changes to that, it would be the perfect guide if you would reduce a little bit of the extreme technical input. But again it's my own opinion and I am a nerd so I love it, but I can see how some people might not make it through the whole video, and not learning anything from it, since they zoned out already after the first 3 minutes lol.
I could see that as an more intermediate guide but not so much for the "true" beginner if it stays that way.
Side Note: Why are these guides not a sticky? Especially the first one, we wouldn't have to answer the same ol questions every day, and new players wouldn't have to wait hrs for an answer. Put a request in already!![]()
