    Just coming back...

I've been gone since 3.4-ish. I was a hardcore crafter/gatherer before I took a forced break (computer died, etc.) and now I'm back. I did get the 3.4 ironworks gear set crafted before I left.

Was new crafting/gathering gear added in 3.5 or anything more significant added? I did find that chick in idyll for the turn-ins. Is there still a specialization requirement for stuff? I heard somewhere that that had been taken out altogether.

Also, are there any decent month gathering prospects to be had this close to the next expac? My gear is just under the 4 star requirements so I'd had to spend a bit to meld and stuff, but I'm willing to do that. Does the crafted gear (both dom/w and craft/gather) sell well still?

Sorry this is a bit aimless. I sort of feel a bit at loss. Part of me just says wait till SB but another says don't... I'd rather start the expac with more than a mil gil though (Yeah, I'm pretty broke. I know.)

    1) Nothing outside deliveries, since those are limited to 6 per week focus on it now that there is only one NPC, and blessed DoH tools (I think).

    2) I think ATM specialization doesn't have any recipe, but they could come back for SB.

    3) A lot of players are catching up with DoL/DoH, so LvL 55+ white gear should be profitable. Some probably will buy an ironworks set but at this point is not a good investment.

Where do you get the weapons? Are they higher than the ilvl 200 ones?

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it. LOL. It's a good gate to content. I just hope making sets won't be as time consuming as it was at the start of HW.

They're achievement rewards from Jonathas. Need to craft a gazillion unique recipes (only those with check-mark counts) to get them. They're not anything stronger, just a tad bit shinier than the tools we use daily.

They're the exact stats of the augmented ilevel 200 tools but they have a golden glow. You need to craft nearly everything from the normal 1-60 books and both housing tabs. There is a bit of a buffer for each craft, so you can skip a couple of very expensive items, but it's not a huge buffer.
